Custom tube blanks and tube blanks after perforation treatment

This batch of tube billets was produced in a customized way, optimized the steelmaking process, and strictly controlled the chemical composition, harmful elements and gases, ensuring the quality of the tube billets from the source. Using the company’s machining capabilities, the tube blank is hollowed out with a large boring machine to remove defects such as center cracks, looseness, and bubbles; the surface is peeled on a large lathe, and then the color penetration inspection is carried out one by one to ensure that the inner and outer surfaces of the tube are free from defects . For steel pipes with an outer diameter less than or equal to 508mm, they are directly formed by hot rolling. For steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than 508mm, the company first hot-rolls the tube billet to a 508mm steel pipe, and then processes it to a larger outer diameter through hot expansion and cold drawing.

Color penetration test

This batch of orders has many manufacturing processes and high quality requirements. The subsequent processes after the steel tube is formed are particularly critical and dizzying: heat treatment → physical and chemical inspection → straightening → finishing → internal and external grinding → polishing → penetration inspection → grinding → semi-finished product inspection → Ultrasonic, eddy current inspection → fine polishing → finished product inspection → beveling → spray marking → storage → PMI inspection before shipment → shipment.
