Liaoning Iron and Steel Industry Industry-University-Research Innovation Alliance was established in Bengang Group

On February 25, the inaugural meeting of the Liaoning Iron and Steel Industry Industry-University-Research Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) was held in Bengang Group.

Du Binghai, deputy director of the Science and Technology Department of Liaoning Province, and Yang Wei, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the Bengang Group, jointly unveiled the alliance. Yang Wei was elected chairman of the alliance.

The sponsoring unit of the alliance is Bengang, and its member units include Northeastern University, Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liaoning Technical University, Liaoning University of Science and Technology, etc. Colleges and research institutes.

As the largest state-owned enterprise in Liaoning Province, in order to fully implement the spirit of the 14th Plenary Session of the 12th Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the requirements of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology on the construction of a substantial industry-university-research alliance, Bengang vigorously implements the innovation-driven strategy and cooperates with Liaoning Province in advance. Well-known universities and research institutes in the country promote the construction of substantive industry-university-research alliances based on the principles of "equality and voluntariness, collaborative innovation, resource sharing, and mutual benefit".

The main task of the alliance is driven by project demand, focusing on solving the key and fundamental practical problems that restrict the upgrading of the steel industry, improving quality and efficiency; gathering technical talents, industrial capital and other innovative elements to achieve major breakthroughs in frontier steel technology; Focusing on national and industry needs, we will jointly participate in major national and Liaoning provincial scientific and technological research projects; using the project as a carrier, establish a "mutual benefit and win-win, risk-sharing" new product, new technology, and new equipment scientific and technological achievements market transformation and sharing mechanism.

In his speech, Yang Wei pointed out that the "shortcomings" of technological innovation in my country's iron and steel industry in key core technology areas are still prominent. The deep-seated contradictions accumulated over a long period of extensive development are issues that must be resolved in order to achieve high-quality development of my country's steel industry and make my country move from a big steel country to a strong steel country. As a domestic super-large steel enterprise group with a long history of 116 years, Benxi Iron and Steel is currently striving to build a large-scale, well-established, and dynamic technological innovation system, which is related to style rectification, reform and reorganization, production safety, sales innovation, process reengineering, etc. 5 A special working group has formed the “5+1” work pattern that Benxi Iron and Steel is currently focusing on, and will promote the next comprehensive deepening of reform and high-quality development of Benxi Iron and Steel. The establishment of the alliance will precisely complement the "shortcomings" of Bengang in high-end product development, basic research and application research. The construction of Benxi Iron and Steel's scientific and technological innovation system will achieve a major breakthrough, and the integration and development capabilities of enterprise innovation resources will also be significantly enhanced.

Regarding the next development of the alliance, Yang Wei pointed out that Benxi Iron and Steel will use this as an opportunity to create an efficient and collaborative composite, innovative, and close industry-university-research innovation alliance; focusing on new technologies, new processes, new products, energy and environmental protection in the steel industry In-depth research and cooperation with alliance member units in resource utilization, intelligent manufacturing, etc., realize the innovation and integration of the entire industry chain, and jointly actively contribute to the high-quality development of Liaoning's economy.

The conference held a signing ceremony for the first major projects of the alliance. On behalf of the two parties, Wang Daixian, deputy general manager of Benxi Iron and Steel Group, and Zhang Jinsong, deputy director of Shenyang National Research Center for Materials Science, signed a cooperation agreement on the project of "Porous Media Combustion Technology Research and Application Demonstration in the Iron and Steel Industry". On behalf of the two parties, Huang Jian, Dean of the Technology Research Institute of Benxi Iron and Steel Group, and Xu Wei, a professor at Northeastern University, signed a cooperation agreement on the project of "Development of Hot Rolled Anti-oxidation Coating-Free Hot Forming Steel Products".

At the end of the conference, when Wang Guodong delivered a report entitled "Transformation and Development of Materials Science and Technology and Construction of Steel Innovation Infrastructure", he deeply analyzed the new trends in the development of the steel industry and clarified the direction for the future development of the alliance.
